 Start Date: 8th April 2024 (or sooner, if available)

Full-Time, Permanent, Term Time Only + 15 days

37 hours a week. 8am-4pm.

Band S01. Scale point 23-25

Actual Annual Salary £ – £30,693- £32,481

Silsden Primary School is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and committed Premises Manager to manage our amazing new site and grounds. We have been in situ for just over 2 years and good, current practices are in place for managing the site.

Projects to support over the next 12 months include developing our extensive grounds into an area to support our developing Outdoor Curriculum and Forest Schools along with the installation of an indoor climbing wall!

We are seeking someone with the skills and confidence to manage the upkeep, maintenance and development of the school premises and grounds to meet the school’s high standards.

The successful applicant will manage our school Caretaker and a small team of cleaning staff. The role requires strong analytical and organisational skills as well as excellent recordkeeping and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.


We are looking for someone who:

  • Can manage an annual programme of works, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, maintaining accurate records and producing information for school leaders as required.
  • Can develop good working relationships with contractors/agency staff.
  • Is able to maintain high standards of workmanship and hygiene throughout the site, and be competent and confident in carrying out minor building maintenance where necessary.
  • Takes great pride in their work.
  • Has a flexible approach to work, is able to organise and prioritise own workload.
  • Is enthusiastic, reliable and uses initiative to solve problems.
