PART-TIME OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR   

Permanent, Term-Time Only position.

To start: November 2024 (depending on notice period)

21 hours per week (8:15am 3:45pm,Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)

Band 7 (Scale point 11-17)

Actual salary £12,356 – £13,684 (Gov pay increase April 2024 pending – Will be backdated and applied to salary once released)

We are seeking to appoint an experienced administrator to join us and work alongside our existing, experienced Admin Team. This is a challenging role within the school, and the successful applicant must have a can-do attitude, good sense of humour and will provide quality administrative support to the school.

You will be expected to manage the busy school reception area and community entrance of a 3 form entry, primary school. The administrative side of the role will have more of a financial involvement as you will work alongside our Finance Manager and be responsible for processing orders and invoices.

The job role includes:
  • answering general telephone calls, email and face-to-face enquiries.
  • meeting and greeting all visitors to school in a professional manner, controlling the signing in system – ensuring our safeguarding procedures are met at all times.
  • ensuring efficient communication links for parents/carers, staff and other interested parties.
  • working alongside our Finance Manager, taking responsibility for processing orders and invoices and weekly bank reconciliation.
  • Managing stock levels of general resources
 We are looking for somebody with the following skills:
  •  Maths and English at GCSE grade 5 or above (equivalent to grade c or above)
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to liaise confidently with staff, pupils, parents, carers and other visitors to school.
  • IT skills, including Excel, word and Outlook.
  • excellent administrative and organisational skills and be able to work individually or as part of a team.
